1. A Jew who is doing Avodat Hashem (learning Torah, praying, doing mitzvot, etc.) should NEVER be embarassed in front of people who are embarassing or commenting negatively on his/her actions. On the other hand this person cannot fight or get angered due to the fear of becoming an angry person and having the anger characteristic become part of the person.
2. A person always needs to hide as much as he/she can the Maasim Tovim that she/he does. Because it known that the reward of an Eved Hashem in secrecy is given to the person by Hashem Himself, and the reward of those who do Ma'asim Tovim in public receive the reward by the Angels.
