CLD #280

In the Orchot Tzadikkim, he explains that one who is Anav (modest) is the one will succeed because all the people around an Anav will love him and all the anger towards an Anav just vanquishes automatically. Saba Avraham was an Anav. But all this is against Nature. The American attitude towards life tells us to chase after the Respect, after the top, be the top, get the best out of life, be the most successful, step on other people, no matter what thrive to the top, etc.
Pirkei Avot also brings words of chochma and advice to shut this attitude down. It says in Perek Dalet Rabi Matya Ben Charash teaches that one should always find out the Shalom of another, the situation of another, the mood of another, etc. This shows that one should actually take care of other people. Which leads to another concept from the Torah and Yahadut: Achdut. Parashat BaMidbar, the parasha we read today in Shul shows that Hashem love us so much, that He counts us every hour since we leave Mitzrayim.
HOWEVER, one would think that when we, Chas VeChalilah do things against Hashem and the Torah HaKdosha IN ACHDUT (united) then we will succeed, just like Achav's generation, who did Avoda Zara but succeeded in their wars.
Also, the Ben Ish Chai says that the number of letters that make up Avraham Yitzchak and Yaakov is 13. When one adds up the Gematriya of the word "Echad," One, they see it adds up to 13 also. There are 13 principles of faith, 13 midot, 13 is the year of accepting the Torah and Mitzvot. 13 is Ahava. When we are one, we become strong, we become powerful. We become complete.

Be'ezrat Hashem we will all realize that without helping each other we cannot succed to bring Mashiach for the Geula! B'H we will all continue lechazek each other.
Shavua tov.
