*Brand New* Introducing: Ashkeloni Corner (AC)

A Yeshiva Student from Shuva Yisrael at 59th St. (who wanted to be left as anonymous) wanted to work on his English. So I gave him an assignment to translate a dvar Torah into English and I will tell him I would post it up on the blog. Today he worked on the dvar Torah and took 1.5 hours to try to inspire. Let me know what you think:

During the day we are in different places and with different moods: if we're in the street we think how to succeed and how to do business, if we're in a young couple's home if their small child is there we might think to establish family. This topic of mood swings was researched by psychologists and they found that the Environment which a person is in has an effect on his/her mood, if a person is next to a sad person
this person might also become sad.

Researchers took 2 twin brothers and flew them to 2 different places. One baby was taken to a good and welathy family in an upscale neighborhood. The other to a poorer family. The baby from the upscale family grew to be clever and successful compared to the baby who grew up in the poor home.

This is all Written in Tehillim: Praised is the man who does NOT walk after the advice of the Reshaim and in the location of Sins he does not stand.
"אשרי האיש אשר לא הלך בעצת רשעים ובדרך חטאים לא עמד"
Torah praises a person if is not in a bad place because of bad energ\

The Torah HaKdosha praises a person who is not in a bad place of bad energy that can affect him adversely. Also the Rambam wrote that if a person is easily affected by his/her environment, he/she should always go to a place of Torah.
This is why we feel in a cemetery that everyone is Hevel Havalim. In a place of burial one sees his relatives/friends G-d forbid buried and realizes that mitzvot is the only thing that man will take with him to Upstairs. We cannot even take our own socks, the cheapest item we own..

Know where you came and where you are going and before Whom you will be judged
