Since Purim is 30 days away, we are starting Halachot of Purim.
1. "Mishenichnas Adar Marbim BeSimcha"= Along with welcoming the month of Adar, comes a welcoming of Simcha! Therefore if one is being sued by a non-Jew, he should schedule the trial for the month of Adar (Ta'anit 29:).
2. There are tragedies that occured on certain days of the year and therefore fast. One of these days is 7 Adar, which is when Moshe Rabbeinu passed away. Whoever fasts on this day is promised Olam Haba (Kaf HaChaim). When it is a leap year (Me'uberet), the fast falls on Adar Bet (Since this year is a leap year, the fast falls on March 13).
All the Halachot for the next month will be taken from "HaBayit HaYehudi," written by Rav Ovadya's student.
