CLD #162

In our world, we are trained to chase after money. (Note: of course we need to work and this is one of the ikarim of this world, but under certain conditions). The Ramchal ZT’L says that the entire foundation behind the relationship with Hashem and life in general is based on man asking himself what his purpose in this world is. Now, when someone looks at other people in the world, he sees that there are certain things that are eternal. Money, Food, Bodily Pleasures, Knowledge, Experience, etc. HOLD UP. How is money eternal? Food? Bodily pleasures? In reality, the only solid fire that stays lit in this world is the Limud Torah one experiences. A billionaire builds buildings all his life, chases after stocks, trades oils, gases, etc. All of his achievements in regards to business eventually becomes his life. All this, a.k.a. what now is his life, can be brought down in a matter of hours to ash. ON THE OTHER HAND a tzadik who has limud torah (minmum 2 hours a day- 1 hr by day and 1 hr by night) instilled in his brain cells, has his learning for eternity. And its not only to satisfy The Creator, our Father in Shamayim; its to be used to live the happiest life.

We need to glue this into our minds: the Torah way is the only way.
Smile, Cuz Hashem loves you.
SHAVUA TOV.
