CHANNUKAH 5771 AND ROSH CHODESH TEVET!
IN ten days B'H, there will be the fast of Asarah B'tevet which marks the day in history when the Siege on Yerushalayim began. This fast is short but is brought to help us 'wake up' regarding Mashiach and B'H the third and final Beit Hamikdash. We definitely do not live in a world where we are constantly bombarded by reminders to belive in G-d and in the coming of the mashiach, but we need to regulate oruselves to believe or to want to believe (The Talmud and other sources say our generation is the generation of the mashiach). Here is an unbelievable LINK that can help you believe and become chazak regarding the seriousness of our generation and situation in Jewish History.
The truth is scary, and it sucks, but we still have the opportunity every minute to look up to G-d and pray for a fresh start and say sorry for all the 'wrong-doings' we have experienced. Sometimes Hashem puts us into situations where we fall spiritually in order for us to get back up and pray to him! Just like the way a father wants his son to come back and communicate with him, no father wants his son ignoring him. Maybe the only way Hashem can start a conversation with us is through these downfalls.
There's no pressure,
just smile, cuz Hashem loves you.
P.S. The concept of tshuva (repentance) was created before the world was created!
