KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEH'HOO BEN HA'OLAM HABA

Translated from Mekor Chaim Kitzur Shulchan Aruch:

1. If one takes dough and mixes it with honey, eggs, milk, sugar, or fruit juice (we see this in pita bread packs that stamp “with apple juice”) and tastes like it has any of these distinguishing ingredients, its Beracha is Boreh Minei Mezonot with a final Beracha of Me’ayin Shalosh (falls under the same category like cake). Our Ashkenaz brothers bless the Beracha of HaMotzi, unless the sweetness is very very obvious in the bread (for example there is more eggs/milk/sugar than water when baking).

2. One who takes dough and folds it together while putting inside the folds sweet ingredients/foods like almonds, fruits, sugar, chocolate or honey blesses on this appetizer Boreh Minei Mezonot with a final Beracha of Me’ein Shalosh. However, if one takes these dough folds and puts inside meat, cheese or potatoes (for example, Pashtida) blesses the Beracha of HaMotzi with a final Beracha of Birkat HaMazon (after eating 27 grams).
