KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEH'HOO BEN HA'OLAM HABA

Translated from Rav Ovadia’s Halacha Emails:

1. From the essence of Halacha (the Law), it is allowed to eat foods that are categorized as meat immediately after the intake of dairy products. However, one should watch their hands so they will be clean, they should drink a beverage in between and eat some bread in order to have their mouths clean from all dairy products.

2. It is allowed and recommended to always leave a little amount of bread on a table that people are eating from. For this practice, one should not leave a full loaf of bread on the table, rather they cut off a piece of it and leave it on the table (because in our history non-Jews used to worship idols via having a full loaf of bread on the table). On Shabbat Eve there is a special concept to leave on the table small pieces of bread and cover it with the tablecloth.
