Translated from Yalkut Yosef Online (Yalkut.Info):
1. The essence of the law allows one to speak between Netllah (washing hands before bread) and
saying the Beracha of HaMotzi (blessing
on bread) but in any case one should be cautious and it is best to avoid
speaking between Netillah and the
Beracha of Hamotzi, whether its
during a weekday or Shabbat. If one has heard Kaddish or Kedusha
between Netillah and HaMotzi or one had heard a Beracha,
answers Amen after whatever is being
heard.
2. It is correct not to wait more than six
minutes (timespan of walking 22 amot).
However, when there are a lot of people in the home who are doing Netillah and saying
the beracha of Al Netillat Yadayim about the timespan of waiting between the
washing and the Beracha of HaMotzi, one can wait more than six minutes. One
should always tell the people of his/her home to quicken the Netillah and try
to avoid any time consuming activites between the Netillah and HaMotzi.
