For
the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L, Yissachar ben Yona ZT’L and Haviva
bat Yocheved Z’L.
From Yalkut Yosef Online (Yalkut.info):
1. One who shaves off their armpit hair and/or the hair in private areas is obligated to receive the punishment of mardut (lashes). This Law is related to places where women tend to shave off their hair and was instated in order for men to avoid following women customs. However, in bodily parts where both sexes tend to shave/cut off hair it is permissible to do so.
2. There was once a time when men looking at themselves through
mirrors was violating the law of lo tilbash (not to dress in a woman’s
garment), however; today there is no suspicion in violating this law when
looking at the mirror and even Talmidei Hachamim (Torah Scholars) can look at
the mirror to fix their outfit.
