For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L. Lehavdeel
For the Refua Shlema of Chai Yaakov ben Margalit shlit’a.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef:
1. One can only buy cans (such as olives, corn, pickles,
etc.) from a store whose storeowner sells non-kosher meat where the cans have a
stamp/sticker of Kosher certification. However, one may not buy specially packaged
food products for Pesach from a store whose owner sells non-kosher meat.
2. In the eyes of our Ashkenazic brothers, dried fruit such
as raisins, peaches, pineapple, etc. are prohibited during Pesach, and is only
allowed when a sick person needs it for their recovery. However, the minhag (custom) for the Spharadim and
Edot HaMizrach is to be lenient during Pesach and eat these products. Also, one
should be cautious in the presence of flour mixed with dried figs.
