For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef:
1. Man must say 100 Berachot (blessings) everyday, meaning
from night to night (sunset to sunset) and not day to day (sunrise to sunrise).
Also on Shabbat and Yom Tov one must say 100 Berachot, therefore it is
suggested for every Yereh Shamayim
(one who has Fear of Heaven) to count the Berachot they say on Shabbat to reach
100.
2. Every fruit/produce that one is in doubt about its
Berache (blessing), one should say on that fruit/vegetable Boreh Pri Ha’Adamah. This is like the opinion of the Shulchan Aruch, and one should not say
the Berache of Shehakol because the
more specific and appropriate the Beracha is the better (in this case Adamah is a Beracha of foods from the
ground which is more specific than Shehakol which is about anything in
general). However, if one does say Shehakol
they fulfill the obligation of saying a Berache Bedieved (the least best way to fulfill).
