For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester & Israel Ben Rivka.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef:
1. One who does Netillat Yadayim
(hand washing before bread) needs to raise their hands in order to avoid water
to drip down one’s hand to re-impurify the hands. If someone does Netila of
3-3, meaning poured on each hand 3 times of water one hand 3 times after the
other, then one does not need to raise their hands because there is no
suspicion of impurified water. According to Sod,
the Zohar, one should always raise their hands after Netillah.
2. If one did Netillah and in the middle of the process only
washed one hand, and then the unwashed hand touched the washed hand; one needs
to dry off the washed hand and begin the Netillat Yadayim again. If someone did
this and did not know, then said the Beracha (blessing) of Netillat Yadayim and
someone saw this, they should tell him/her to do Netillah again without repeating
the Beracha.
