For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester & Israel Ben Rivka.
Translated from Netzor LeShoncha Mera:
1. One is prohibited to tell
another person that X does not keep Mitzvot such as: Aseh or Lo Ta’aseh (Positive or Negative), from
the Torah or from the Chachamim (sages), a full Mitzvah or part of a Mitzvah. There
is no difference if the one speaking about person X saw X not follow Mitzvot
with his/her own eyes or just heard that X does not follow Mitzvot.
2. One who knows his/her friend did not do a Ma’aseh tov (good deed), he/she is not
allowed to tell others about it. Even if the person wants his/her friend to do
good and stop doing the bad or even if the person wants people to know that
this specific action is NOT a good deed (and even if this is not coming from a
place of hatred or any bad intention) it is considered Lashon Hara (gossip which is absolutely not allowed from the
Torah).
