KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEHOO BEN HAOLAM HABA

L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester.
From Ve’En Lamo Michshol:

1. Wheover has his/her hands dirty with the sin of theft/robbery, Hashem decides not to listen to this person’s Tefillah (prayer) until the person did Teshuva (repentance) and returned whatever he/she stole. Even if the person prays with full kavanah (focus/intention) with their entire heart in the Tefillah, Hashem still does not answer this person’s prayer until the theft is no longer in their hands. After they returned the stolen object, his/her Tefillot (prayers) fall under the guidelines of prayers that Hashem hears.

2. There are those who allow themselves to make their friends’ wallet/keys “dissapaer,” in order to create a sense of panic and pressure on their friend. These people should be warned to stop this. Even if their intention is to benefit their friend, such as in a case where their friend always leaves wallets or important things in places where people will steal it and the friend wants to teach them a lesson by hiding it, they should still not do this, and there is a prohibition that this person is violating.
