KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT KOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHE'HOO BEN HAOLAM HABA

L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester, Shahin Shmuel ben Hadassa, Israel Ben Rivka & The Bachur Yeshiva who was killed in a car accident today in Israel in Meron.
From HaBayit HaYehudi for Shabbat Chazon (the Shabbat before Tisha BeAv, this Shabbat):

1. On Erev Shabbat Chazon (Friday) after Chatzot (midday which falls out around 1:01pm) one is allowed to taste food from a pot that holds meat and fat, since there is a Mitzvah to taste food specially prepared Lichvod Shabbat, and the one who is stringent and does not taste should be blessed.

2. There are those from our Ashkenaz Brothers who have the minhag (custom) to not change into Shabbat clothing Lichvod Shabbat on Shabbat Chazon and only change their jackets. And there are those who write that one should not follow this minhag because it is like mourning in public, which is prohibited on Shabbat. The minhag for Spharadim is to dress on Shabbat Chazon like any other Shabbat, except not to wear an outfit that is for mo’adim (chagim - like wearing all white or extra dressy clothing).

From Ve’En Lamo Michshol:

3. One who’s car alarm went off on Shabbat and the noise bothers the neighbors, if there is a Goy, one can tell the Goy to make the alarm stop. If a Goy is not present, one can tell a katan (a boy under 13 and a girl under 12, the younger the better). If this is not applicable, and one thinks the neighbors will call the police, one can show the neighbors where the car keys are and they should do as they please. This is not breaking the law of  You shall not place a stumbling-block in front of a blind man,” because if not they might do Chillul Shabbat even more (break Shabbat).

4. When one has a Shabbat Chatan (Shabbat after a wedding) for his/her son/daughter and one wants to invite relatives to give them an Aliyah for the Torah, one should be cautious NOT to invite family or friends that live far away that will drive to Shul on Shabbat. In order to prevent them to do Chillul Shabbat, one should invite them to be guests in his/her home for the entire Shabbat.

SHABBAT SHALOM!
