L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester , Israel ben Rivka & Shahin Shmuel ben Hadassa.
From Ve’En Lamo Michshol:
1. One is not allowed to get a haircut during Shavua SheChal Bo (from Motzei Shabbat –now- until Tisha BeAv) and one cannot shave his beard. However, a mustache that disturbs one from eating can be shaved. A Gadol (above 13) is not allowed to give a haircut to a Katan (under 13), and a woman is allowed to get a haircut during Shavua SheChal Bo.
2. There are some who say to be stringent and prohibit cutting nails during Shavua SheChal Bo. And others permit it, and this is the case for halacha. Those who are stringent and do not cut their nails can cut them if the nails are longer than the finger itself.
3. One cannot use anything laundered during Shavua SheChal Bo, meaning clothing that is laundered cannot be worn, a bathrobe that is laundered cannot be used, any bed sheets that are laundered cannot be changed with used sheets, no laundered hand towels can be used, no handkerchiefs, no tablecloths, etc.
Tisha BeAv is in 2 nights. Are you ready? SHAVUA TOV.
