From Ve'En Lamo Michshol:
1. When one sits in a place where there are people, like on a bus or the like, it is not Derech Eretz to eat food thart has any type of strong smell, or any food that makes a lot of noise while eating it (ex. Bissli). Why? Because sometimes people get bothered by this, and something this small can cause nezek (damage). Therefore, one should think about the people around him/her, and even ask if they want some of the food. One who builds up saliva from the desire to eat or drink [from looking/smelling at the food] should nto swallow that saliva, thather take it out of his/her mouth, and if there's people around, spit it out in a paper/napkin [to understand why look at Masechet Ktubot 61b].
2. One should prevent him/herself from eating foods that case bad breathe (onion, garlic, etc.] before going to a face to face meeting, in order to prevent suffering for those people. One should try to eat these foods only during times where he/she knows they won't be in a meeting [like at night]. If even at night he is around people, like his wife, the person should not eat these foods to prevent problems with Shlom Bayit [this also applies to smoking].
From HaBayit HaYehudi:
3. Thirty minutes before Shkiya (sunset), one cannot have a 60 gram meal of Pat (bread), even if he already prayed Mincha, until he says the Bracha of Sefirat HaOmer. If, with a Rabbi's permission, he started eating a full meal, and the time to say Sefirat HaOmer has come, he does not need to stop eating and say the Bracha, rather just needs to say it after the meal. However, if he just began a meal without a Rabbi's permission, he needs to say the Bracha when the time to say the Bracha comes along and then continue eating. All are allowed to tase fruit before the Bracha, and also even begin a meal with bread that weighs less than 56 grams.
4. Women don't have to do Sefirat HaOmer, because all women are not liable to do Mitzvot SheHaZman Grama [Mitzvot regarding timing]. Even if she wants to count she can, but she is NOT allowed to say the Bracha fot ir. So if a Sepharadi mistakenly began counting with a Bracha, she has to stop immediately. According to the Zohar HaKadosh (Kabbalah), its best if women do not count at all.
