KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEH'HOO BEN HA'OLAM HABA

L'yilui Nishmat Avraham Ben Ester
From Ve'En Lamo Michshol:
1. Even though we hold not to give a used cup to a friend, this only applies to when one does not know this frined. Hwoever, when one does know that his friend does not have any contagious sickness, he is allowed to use his frined's cup only after it had been cleaned. Therefore on Shabat Kodesh it is best to pour the iwne from the Kiddush cup into many glasses to prevent the guests from being disgusted by sharing the cup.

2. There are some who say it is not Derech Eretz to drink in front of others, so after saying the Bracha on a beverage ("SheHakol" or "HaGefen"), they turn their heads and drink. Today the world is lenient about this and all tend to drink in public, and only the ones who are strict in all matters are drink with this also.
