1. Its recommended and correct (aka the Halacha is as follows) that every man should withold from drinking tea or coffee during Tefillah because this is a sign of disrespect. One should be extra cautious not to drink at all from Baruch SheAmar.If one has to drink because it is the ONLY WAY he will concentrate and ave kavana, then he needs to leave the room where he is praying and drink for tzniut purposes (because drinking alone causes other people to stop focusing on the tefillah).
2. From Baruch SheAmar until after Amida (and if its a day that we say Tachanoon then after Tachanoon) one is not allowed to speak at all. Those that say Chazak UBaruch to the Chazan of Pesukei DeZimra and Bechavod to the next Chazan for Kriyat Shma and so on should be taught that at this time no one is allowed to speak.
