1. Every man is required to have in his own nature and instinct to run to do mitzvot. There are people that delay everything off and just go along their day without notice of anything and then run to Bet Knesset (shul), thinking this is Midat HaZrizut (the characteristic of speed to do mitvzot), but this is not Midat HaZrizut. When we see these people run to shul, it is because they are running late, and just trying to make it to shul on time. For all of life, every man needs to prepare for Tefillah and Torah in general, and not fall to the desires of sleep, because the Torah and its reward stands forever.
2. (We all struggle with this one): One should always prepare himself every morning to wake up early to get to Tefillah on time and not miss the Zman of Tefillah (Daily Zmanim check here: MyZmanim.org).
