CLD #168

In Tefillah (Amida) we pray by saying 19 brachot. As common Jewish knowledge explains, each Tefillah (Shacharit, Mincha, and Arvit) were composed by our Avot (Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov). From Gematriya we learn the love that Hashem has for the Yehudim who do Mesiroot Nefesh and go to minyan three times a day. Where do we see this? The word "Magen," which has a gematriya of 57. If one prays three times a day (Shacharit, Mincha, and Arvit=57 brachot) then Hashem Magen Alav (protects him). Also Hashem protects one who prays in minyan 3x a day by providing him with food, Ochel; which also has a value of 57. The word "zan," which we recite in Birkat HaMazon (the bracha after eating a kazayit worth of bread) also has a gematriya of 57. The word Ochel can be broken down into Chaf and Vav which equals 31 which equals Hashem's name of "Kel" and Aleph and Lamed, which also makes up Hashem's name of "Kel." We see that Hashem is in everything we do.

B"H May we have the koach to continue doing mesiroot nefesh and "Lirdof Acharei Mitzvotecha" (chasing after mitzvot), even though the reward is not instantaneous.

SHAVUA TOV :D!
