CLD #113

CHANNUKAH 5771! Mixed dancing feels like something that is not a big deal at all, right? Mixed dancing, non-kosher dairy, music with cursing, touching your aunt, praying with a minyan, etc. These are some of the things that do not make sense in our minds. Chazal tell us that in order to fully accept Judaism in our lives we need to 'throw away our sense,' because that is truly the only way you will reach a higher level of kdusha. Mashal: When we want to experience what the Holocaust means, as high school students we travel to Poland to the death camps on MOTL or Heritage. After the trip is when we understand how much we did not know regarding the identity of Holocaust survivors and what they had to go through. The same goes for the 1-year (minimum) after high school trip to yeshiva/university in Eretz HaKodesh. The people who experience these simply cannot explain in words their experiences. The same goes for shomer negiyah or simply a REAL JEW (but at the same time everyone should be at their own level and work their way up step by step, slowly, always moving up).

CHAG SAMEACH!
May Hashem bless us all with the light of Channukah year-round.

Smile, cuz Hashem loves you :)!
